HUGE DAY HUNTING
    #3328028 - 11/06/04 05:32 PM (12 years, 1 month ago)

Pan Cyans and Cubes galore today. I woke up around 7am and headed an hour and a half toward Baton Rouge, LA to some free grazing fields that are open to the public. I had passed through there a couple of weeks ago and found a few pan cyans. This morning I loaded up on a couple pounds of pans and a lunch bag of beautiful cubes. Many of the pans are aged a bit, but I found quite a few youngsters. It was beautiful weather today and perfect time for a hunt. My only complaint is that I couldn't find my digital camera and so I have no pics. Just to let all those in Louisiana know, though, the shroom season is in full swing. I haven't had any problem finding shrooms even in the middle of the summer, but now you hardly have to even search because they are EVERYWHERE. I've only tried pan cyans once, but tonight will be my 2nd.

ONE QUESTION THOUGH- Anyone ever mix pan cyans with cubes? What's your experience with the effects? I found my first testing of pans to be very relaxed and colorful but lacking some of the edge that comes with cubes. Thanks!

Will let you know the outcome! Oh, and I would be interested to know if anyone else in Louisiana is finding pans right now.

I'll find a camera tomorrow and take some pics of the leftovers. Nothing like seeing them in the field or when fresh, but I just gotta get some pics of this great bunch.
