Dead cells coating my cakes

Should I peel layers off my cakes when flushing to excrete the "unfertile layers" or is this outside layer good to go. Is this a layer of hard, dry, dead cells? I recently sliced up some cakes after fushing and the fuzz is back. You know which snowy fuzz I mean.....What's the calendar look like for pimples (pins) too??? A week or so...should I expect a more spread out fruiting field on my cakes???

Dip them in hydrogen peroxide and that will take off the outer layer.

Leave that layer alone. That's fertile as all hell. That peroxide idea will only retard growth. Usually, about a week between flushes. Why did you slice them up?
