Hey all, {please see attachment}
Ive been doing some research myself on these, and these seem like it could be a Pan Subbalteatus. It fits virtually every description that MJ gives on his website. It has a Black Spore Print, reddish brown cap, grooves down the hollow stem. I also found them growing in a straw/manure mixture in TN, where they are said to grow. They appear to blue too. Oh, and some of the older ones that I've found are much lighter, almost white. One of the older ones is wrinkled.Any help would be greatly appreciated.

quick answer yes.

slow answer, seldom, it varies on conditions, location, strain, etc. its common for them to grow on dung in NS and rare on straw. its the opposite on the west coast. however straw/dung seems to be a constant ideal meduim universaly. :)
