humidity problem
    #3324011 - 11/05/04 10:29 AM (19 years, 4 months ago)

i had humidity problems last time i worked with lava rocks in my fruiting chamber. i thought the lava rockes just sucked, but this tiem i'm using perlite, bubble wands, water and a pump to serve as humidity upkeep. Why is my reading still showing like 50% humidity? i tested the readings in the shower and the hygrometer isn't bunk. any help would be so much appreciated sicne this is the first day the casing is in the tupperware.

That shouldn't be a problem, your seal that is. When I was using a PMP i had no problem with humidity, and i didn't Have it sealed. I actually had holes drilled in it for better air exchange. Its hard to say what your problem is, do you only have one airstone in it??? Also remember to put H2O2 in the water to ward off contams.

I have 94% humidity with just perlite in my tub and it's a HUGE tub huimdified just by perlite.

I think it's 50 gal.. damn it I always forget to check.

Anyway it's about 2 1/2" long, 1 1/2" wide, and 2 to 2 1/2" deep.

2 inches of perlite and 3/4" water.
