Colonization slump

My cakes have been sitting for a little over 3 weeks and they don't seem to want to colonize fully. Most are about 1/2-3/4 colonized but the colonization rate has slowed dramatically and I'm worried that they won't fully colonize before the cake dries up. Any thoughts or suggestions on how to speed up colonization? I have them mildly heated in a dark kitchen cupboard. They were started on 5/10.

Dry heat will dry out your jars. Take the tape off and put them in your humidified terrarium or cooler. They may or may not colonize fully.

Why dont you flip them upside down..... tap the cakes down a little bit so you get some "vaccuum action" in them dar hills....peace ...
