I have a mycobag thats been coming along nicely for the past week and a half, it`s about 65 percent colonized. I woke up yesterday and to my severe displeasure I found the temp in my incubation chamber to be at 95.4, I turned it down imediately and left it alone.
Today I look at the bag and I see a tiny greyish slimy spot on it that looks very similar to wet spot.
I read a post a little while back about a large spike in temp causing the myc in someones jar to sweat and create something that looked very similar to wet spot, is it possible that this is the case? Or am I just in denial
well if its myc piss its okay this will be a light tanish color right around the mycelium
it could be Wet spot also called sour rot because of its tell tale signs if its on the bottom away for any mycelium then yes it is proabaly wet spot take the jar and smell it if is smells sour almost to the point you want to puke than yeah definitely throw it out cause its wet spot
sorry man -mike

I'd just like to point out that it's never a great idea to sniff contaminated jars, the spores are unhealty for you and some may be airborne, you don't want them flying around, it's just not worth it.Stay safe and read, GL
