to freeze or not to freeze

alright ive heard that you arent supposed to freeze fresh shrooms but at the same time ive also heard that freeze drying is the most effective way to dry mushies now heres my >?>? i was reading that you can freeze dry things in your freezer in 5 7 days by setting them on a screen in front of the blower and i was wondering if anyone knows if this will werk or will it just ruin the boomers?
