Sporeless syringes?!

First time poster, long time reader here. I've found this site to be extremely helpful and I feel confident that I will be able to grow nice cakes without contams. However, I recieved two spore syringes from "a friend" and both seem to be almost completely clear. I see several very very tiny specks in each but they really look nothing like all of the pictures of syringes that I have seen. Good spore syringes?: My Syringes: Will my syringes still work? Will I need to inject more than 1 cc per jar? Also, another question. What will happen if I inject two different types of cubes in one jar?

yeah thats fine i got syringes from them that looked like that and guess what i have colonized jars so all should be good also i dont think putting 2 strains in one jar is a good idea just do them one at a time man
this is my theory and im sure its probably wrong but : organisms fight for survival and will do basicly anything for it so if you put 2 strains in they are just going to fight eachother not blend together into one nice mycelium . If you have only one strain it won't fight itself thats stupid so they blend together nicely and form a thick rich mycelium

you don't have to name/incriminate the vendors when making an inquiry into something! just say you got some spores from a friend, and then take it up with the vendor privately. you should delete your reference about the specific vendor. and yes this gets asked every other week.

Hey, I don't know if anyone noticed, but those syringes definitely have color to them. Hell, I even see the clumps of spores on the bottom(actually right side of the pic).
Why don't we just tell him it looks like a solid syringe?

shit i'm sorry too, i didn't even answer your q. when i blew up those photos i could see some spores in your syringes, which means they are good to go. those black syringes are just super dense with spores, but they don't have to be in order to work. and i don't care if you post stuff people have already posted, i am just worried about the vendors, good lookin out changing it to 'friends' after all, they are our friends. good luck 00

Those black ones are beyond "good syringes" they're a waste. using that amount in 4 syringes would still be pretty dark and more than needed. I've never used one, and while I'm sure colonization time is incredible, you'll be getting hundreds and hundreds of substrains probably. I'm not an expert, but I don't think that sounds like the greatest.

colonization time is still about the same after you get to see some color in the syringe. Darker syringes might make you feel more comfortable, though. And I think being comfortable with each step is very important. But still, doesn't make a huge difference if it's dark purple or barely purple.
