Measurment Adjustments

Hey I have a situation.
The measurment for the guide i am going by is as followed
1/2 pt. jar
Vermiculite 1/2 cup
Flour 1/4 cup
Water 1/4 cup
5 CC's of spores
However I have a 12 Oz. Jar (aprox .1/2 pt. and 4 oz.)
How can i ajust the measurments to fit the jar or do i even have to?

P.S. I am using white rice flour to expiremnt this time cuz i cant get brwon rice flour, so i will post the results

do some fraction action man. 12oz/16oz= times this number by all the measurements and that tells you how much to use..... not very hard. you're asking a math question.

The mix you are using will always produce excess substrate. It is mixed like that just to get the moisture content right. You can mix up any amount as long as the ratio is 2:1:1 For example if you used 2 cups of verm, you would use 1 cup of brf and 1 cup of water. You won't fit 1/2 cup of verm, 1/4 cup brf, and 1/4 cup of water ina 1/2 pint jar.
BTW you probably can get BRF. Get some brown rice and grind it into a powder. Voila! Brown Rice Flour.

Just make sure that the measurements are as follows:

2 Parts Vermiculite
1 Part Flour
1 Part Water

why wouldnt he fit that in a 1/2 pint? 1 pint = 2 cups.

white rice flour should be fine...just hope you're not dumping 5cc's worth of spore solution in one jar

If you fill it to the top you'll fit it, but you need room for the dry verm at top.
