Telepathy
    #332057 - 06/02/01 02:09 AM (15 years, 6 months ago)

How many forms of it are there?
Is telepathy a projection of your thoughts, where the "link" hears your thought as you do?
Could you place a thought or idea into a person, without them consciously knowing about it? But them suddenly thinking about that particular thought.

How about body language, the universal language for all living creatures, the movment of the body, touching certain places, coughing, blinking , breathing Is this also a form of telepathy... or would this be under the class of sign or body language? Is it not the projection of thought?

This is one that I am very interested in, and one you have probally already felt or done,
Empathy, feelings in the form of energy (which can feel electric) by touching another conductor (a living being) and either transfering or sensing their energy. Input and output, a whole different language. A language that can get complex, but can easily be associated because most are feelings you have already felt.

Have you ever sat next to someone in a car and sense their nervous system, how they may feel either comfortable, not, or even really really comfortable. Did you ever feel a magnetic attraction when someone was swinging their feet or arms next to yours, so much that if you resisted the attraction you would feel a shock or a jerk in your body.
What do you think makes sex so great ;)

I started noticing this one recently and im going to experiment with it, and try to work with others to show it to them and teach them how to use it. Im hoping ill be able to do this, i found a new group of friends who are really into these types of things.

any other forms of telepathy, what other ideas and experiences are out there on this subject?

I'm fascinated with telepathy,I don't wield the jedi powers to the full extent, but when it's present I feel it.Sense it.I'll pick up the transmission, but it's usually static if you know what I mean.I'm sorta glad that we're getting this up in the air even though I can imagine it's a taboo subject to the real analysts of the mind. One thing I have learned a great deal about is the hundreds of emotions that could be present in one person at one time, sometimes just by the look of the eye, sometimes it's overwhelming to think about,or experience for that matter.

Peace,

Be careful what you wish for,it just might come true.
NahHah man,the candles are already blown out.

Oh yeah, I picked up a clever game from I can't remember who,but props to this person.
It consists of:

25 pieces of paper(preferably recipe/flash card type deal)

a marker

two brains(one combined will not do)

Mark 1 shape on 5 cards, 1 on the next 5,1 on the next 5...and so on.Try easy ones at first, like 5 squares,5 circles,5 triangles,5 ovals, and 5 rectangles. practice guessing them for like 10-20 minutes a day.Feel them mentally and physically, sense the shape. After your confident with that try 5 shapes,5 different colors.I'm going to make my mind reading cards after I sign off.

Peace

As long as we're not attributing telepathy to hocus-pocus magic, then yes I think it is real between humans in contact with each other. As for higher states of awareness... human consciousnesses do seem to be directly connected through tubules of energy that already contain complete information according to my P.Cub hunting friend in So. MS and his experiences with high doses of shrooms. Man are we waiting for the rain!

To support your idea of this - something I do in public, such as grocery shopping, buying gas, getting a money order at the bank to buy online entheogens, or whatever - is to say inside, "I am creating the experience of togetherness - with an inflexible attitude of togetherness" and I can see waves of relaxation and humor and togetherness ripple out from me. I'm certain that it's truely telepathy, probably communicated at the levels of empathy, microexpressions, body language and of course most simply and directly... fully realized to completion with speech and actions. When your thoughts, speech, and actions are all the same - they will all hold their full power together.

Do you think I can see where you came from?

The feeling of one ness, the feeling of being in control or being the dreamer in the situation, with that attitude you can make things happen.

The waves you see (sense) Do they seem like they have a steady beat. If you play music, even with the headphones on, in the big picture, does everyone look to be moving to the beat?
Catch the beat, and work anything you want into the song.

Indeed telepathy comes in many shapes and sizes...but it is still coming from the same place.
We are all connected to each other in a sort of cosmic web. We are just a part of everything else, and everything is a part of us.

Body language is indeed a form of telepathy. While our subconscious minds are chatting away with each other unbeknownst to us, we are many times reinforcing our telepathic conversations with subtle body movements.
You see, we spend most of our time in the conscious mind, our rational, day-to-day, thinking mind. The conscious mind is where we spend 90% of our waking time. However, the subconscious is where all the real action takes place. It is where our memories are stored, it is the brain behind the operation that allows us to make complex decisions. Since the conscious mind is so busy, constantly evaluating things, the subconscious is where telepathy occurs. Because of this, most telepathic conversations go unnoticed. Unless the person has the ability to consciously tap into their subconscious, they will have a hard time remembering what occured....or, for that matter, will think nothing happened at all.
The fact is, we are constantly in telepathic communication with each other at all times. Although for the most part completely unaware of it's happenings. The signs are often times very subtle, other times extremely profound. The object is to identify these signs when they occur, and then associate the feelings and thoughts you had before, during, and after the experience. This will make you more comfortable with these thoughts, and you can appreciate them even more.
Empathy is the same thing as telepathy. You are feeling another person's pain.
Telepathy goes much farther than words can ever describe.
Through telepathy we are not only able to communicate thoughts and ideas in their complete form, exactly as we see them in our head, but we are able to communicate our feelings without causing grief, we are able to show someone a picture in our mind, we are able to put that person into our mind and show them what we see. It is complete communication. With telepathy, there is not ever a misunderstanding because someone did not explain something the right way, or someone misinterpreted them. Everything is crystal clear. Nothing can be mistaken.

Have you ever been at a party and 30 people are talking at once and no one can hear what anyone else is talking about?
If those people were speaking telepathically, everyone could talk at the same time, and everyone would understand each other.
Our minds are amazing instruments, as capable and containing all the knowledge of the universe. Once we are able to tap into that unlimited knowledge, the big picture is seen, and we are inspired to show others that everything they want to know already exists within them.

Mycelios...I believe I told you about that game... You can play it by yourself by the way, but its better with two people.
Build a deck of 25 cards, 5 different shapes, 5 each. 5 spirals, 5 triangles, 5 squares, 5 circles, 5 plus signs.
Just pick a card and look at it, send that mental image to the person you are practicing with. You should both have a clear mind, and go with your first instincts...your intuition. If you become real good, you can make the 5 shapes 5 different colors for an even harder game.
Once you've mastered that game, you can play the really hard one. Sit in seperate rooms, where you cannot see or hear each other. Draw a picture and then study the picture and mentally send it to your friend in the other room. Your friend will be in the other room with a pad of paper and pencil and will draw the first image that comes into his mind once you inform him you have sent the image. You may be suprised at the results you get even on your first try.

Here's a little ditty that I like to do.  I go out into a regional wildlife preserve near my home and I sit near a big tree or amoungst flowers or grasses.  If you just sit, you can start to feel the energy given off by the plants, its not a feeling you can get around any person or other object, its a very peaceful experience.  I usually do it when I am pissed beyond all beleif and by the time I leave its hard for me to beleive I was ever pissed.  I think that this is telepathy at a much simpler level, part of the bond we share with all things.  Its often difficult for me to keep a conversation with nature in my head and I usually end up looking a bit crazy to passerby's.

I think that basic telepathy (one sided telepathy) involves the you sending a message mentally to someone totally unknowing of your intentions.  They have no idea that you are sending them a message, it just pops in their head like any other idea would, random but still having depth.  It's definately not mind control because like any other thought it can be denied action and pass on like so much dust in the wind.

4 out of 5 inmates agree.  The FSR is better than being raped by your overweight roomate!;)

greypoe, the waves and ripples I speak of are actually simply metaphors - another suitable metaphor could be broadcasting a neon light burning, "I'm OK - so you're OK - no IF's, AND's or BUT's - we're OK". Putting yourself at ease and holding that fixed makes others pick up on that - then that comes back to you - we(us) form a feed-back-loop.

I'm simply being unyeilding in my own peace and comfort - no matter how bad or badly the people around me feel (as mentioned RIGHT ON THE MARK because they're wrapped up in 90% (self?) conscious self-talk self-reflection self-absorbtion - creating the experience of separation.) Yes with that attitide you can even affect the outcome of events.

And music certainly affects me (inside) so that the world (outside) goes right with it. The INNER determines the OUTER. Sooo... why not make the inner peaceful and send it out with the rhythm of your musical Heart? "Come together right now... over me" - BEATLES

Is there a way to control it so you may keep others from reading your thoughts and leaving thoughts in your head?
There was a post awhile back that said you can keep your private thoughts to yourself but for some reason mine seem to be an open book and its driving me crazy. How do you harness control to keep them ALL from leaking out?

Stop thinking -- nothing to transmit, nothing to hide, nothing to pick up on.

funny response. But Dexter's laboratory doesn't quite have what it takes to block out the collective soul. And can you really block out something you are but a mere part of? I think (theres that "key" word again) not. True, by not thinking there is nothing to transmit. Yet what kind of existence is that? To not explore your train of thought as it develops would be to waste what we are. At that point we'd all be content to work in a cubicle while waiting for the weekend to roll around so we could "enjoy" ourselves at the ice cream social. Or something...

If anyone here if afraid of 'having their thoughts read' I can sympathize. Many of us at times seemingly uncontrollably think something - that we would not want to actually say, for example being negatively judgemental toward a loved one or friend.

The practice of meditation such as in Yoga or perhaps Zen is a route to calming down the mind (ultimately to silence at will) by ALLOWING your thoughts to emerge without fighting against them... just watching them form, manifest, and dissappear.

Tin foil hats DO WORK - it's very important to make certain the shiny and dull sides are oriented correctly or you will AMPLIFY your thought transmissions... just a helpful reminder.:):D
