very slow colonoization

ok me and a friend did PF jars and he decided to microwave the substrate wet before putting it in the jars. and when it came out it was very lumpy. It has taken over a month to colonize 3 out of 12 jars, and they are going sooo slow. u think i am correct in assuming that microwaving the wet substrate and making it clumpy is causing the slow colo times?

YES...very important to have the heat up to around 83-84, that takes you from a possible 5-6 weeks depending how cold it is, to more in the range of 2-3. At 86 constantly my friends jars are just about done at the 2 week point.

here ya go guy, definetly go with this. Regardless of what anyone says, a 50w heater will do it's justice. there's barely any water in the tub.
