I live in the Southwest part of Indiana and would like to find out if there are any laws against shrooms found here and if there are any near me? It seems like i have seen those liberty caps before while mushroom hunting morels but not sure and in lawns that i mow. Please Help
1. Psilocybin/psilocin is a Schedule 1 controled substance in the United States. All mushrooms that contain them are illegal (unfortunately). 2. Liberty Caps probably wouldn't be growing at the time you're picking morels. That's not their season. They fruit in the fall.
Libs don't grow in Indiana and if they did, by alien chance after chance, they wouldn't grow in SW Indiana. You probably saw Conocybes. They CAN look similar in at least shape and length. You have just begun your journey into the knowledge you need. I wish you well.
