These are EQ from 3m grown using the PFtek. The growth in the terrarium, the blueish line around the far right cake, is a new development. It has grown just in the last 8 hours. The veils on the largest two 'shrooms broke yesterday. I haven't picked them b/c I thought the EQ strain grows bigger than their current two inches.
Anyone know what the discoloration is? Is it safe?

Here's a pic of the largest. Humidity around 92%. Temp is 75.
The discoloration is new.

The last one. Same bluish growth around the base of this baby. It appeared within the last 8 hours.
Any thoughts?

It looks like some spores just fell on it. Was there another one over top of it?
You can eat spores, no prob.

They look good to me..
I believe the discoloration is just spores dropping from that mature cap.....

looks like spores to me.... pay attention when the viel breaks and see if the line only develops after it breaks....

Thanks for the replies y'all.
Here's a pic showing the two largest caps. Notice how one is much darker than the other. That happened today and there were no other 'shrooms above it. I have no idea what's goin' on.
Any idea why the veils have broken on the itty-bitty ones?

just look like small mushies to me.... i dunno why theyre so small, id figure they just do that sometimes, its nature.

Un huh, I get small mushrooms growing with big mushrooms all the time, most of the time, actually. You should pick those earlier though...unless you're making prints.

spores fall from cap and are picked up by air currents
and drop on the top of the same cap
(very weird phenomenom)
take your finger and wipe some off...
better to pick sooner...when veil tears even if they are small
