Dehydrator

AFOAF bought a food dehydrator. It uses heat tp dry and the thermometer that he used to see how hot it got read 110 degrees. So he ran it without the lid on to see what would happen. It read 98 degrees. So AFOAF would like to know if it is safe to use it with the lid off to dry them. If not is there any way he can tamper with it to make it work? If it isnt safe, than what temp does the magic start to degrade at? any answer A.S.A.P. would be apprciated so his beauties dont rot. Thanks

That will work fine. Works for foaf all the time. Only, set it out in the garage when you run it. Then you'll save on your air conditioning costs.

Whats the highest temp the mush cme be exposed to without losing their kick?

any heat will degrade their potency, at a certain level it starts to fall off drastically. I think you would be ok with that much, but they will definitly be less potent than if they were dried with no heat, you might not notice the difference though. Dry them with that, then dry them under just a fan and compare, let us know your conclusions.
