 mushies and visual accuity

Well it just dawned me that when i'm tripping on mushrooms i seem to have far better visual accuity. I can see way more stars than sober, and actually see the distance between the stars (with DMT, way more so). McKenna talked about how very low amounts of psilocybin increases your visual accuity. Is this also true with a psychedelic dose of mushrooms?

Maybe you see more stars cause.... you're seeing stars that aren't there.

I thought you only see whats there on shrooms, but it gets all twisted. On acid, you see things that are not there. ???

man you eat enough shrooms you can see damn near about anything you want!! or don't want!!! on mushrooms you could have the same kind of visuals you could have on acid, or vise versa. and things get twisted for me when im sober, so i don't even know what that means.
and everyone has differnet visuals.

actually sort of on the same idea i read in one of paul stamets books that on one of his trips his eyes were so sharp that he could make out shadows that were being cast by the light of the stars.
and he gives another accountt of a elderly man using low does, not psychedelic amount, in order to help his hearing, this would not surprise me, as i find my hearing to by seemingly quite amplified while on shrooms, small amount or large. course larger amounts i'm not sure if what i'm hear is real or not..but.
pupils dilated however, make it harder for one to focus close up, thus making your sight worse, technically

The increased visual acuity is always there, but the higher the dose, the more the psychedelic visual effects get in the way. On half an eighth, I have eagle vision. I've stood on the top of a cliff and been able to read the label on a surfer's board, several hundred feet below. The 'sharpness' of everything around, the distinct edges of the trees in the distance, the colorfulness, its all a result of this increased visual acuity.
