pain , medicine and politics

what a mix :frown: i know you all must be wondering what i thought of the election  im not as bitter as one might think. ive really come to a conclusion about the country and the democratic party.

To any of the neocons on this board, you did not win anything by electing george w bush. What you have done is empowered the extreme religous right wing of the republican party. The election was won because of "gay marriage" and other social issues. In every poll i saw, a majority concerned with the economy or Iraq voted kerry. Bush won the election with the help of insane evangelicals. The country is going to be headed in a bad direction. George thinks he has a mandate, from god and along with congress will erode our civil liberties even farther. Say goodbye to abortions. Ive also heard talks about a flat tax....Do you neocons who post here understand what that will mean?? Flat Tax will ONLY benefit the rich. Shit Bush wants more tax cuts, what about our deficet??? We are ruining this country for future generations. I am no crazy politcally correct liberal, I would have voted for anyone i thought could defeat bush and get religion out of the white house. give me arnold, rudy, mccain anyday. the next four years is going to be a dark time for us :frown: i am making a plea to any republicans here with brains, vote for candidates that DO NOT play to the crazy religous conservatism. Religion is only getting worse in this country, i watched a documentary on how christianity is becomming more hard line, just like islam.....this needs to stop, look at the muslims now. if this country becomes a theocracy , its all over

as for the democrats....we need to distance ourselves from people who are basically communists and socialists. we need to preach fiscal responsiblity and not go around implementing social issues the red states dont want. dems need to stay away from issues like gay marriage. even though anybody with a brain knows that gays getting married doesnt hurt or change anything....hell it might reduce the spread of aids if we let these guys make commitments  common sense doesnt play in the red states, they are scared of gays...they realy think gay people getting married will affect them...shame on republicans and preachers for fear mongering in the churches scaring these people into hating gays.
Us dems also need a better candidate. Kerry was un-electable, he was a pussy with a bad voting record and too many changes of mind. Howard Dean would have been a much better choice. Dean actually held ONE postion and really energized the base. too bad howard blew his stack and screamed. the dems need to re-structure themselves and find candidates who can get elected. i will officially leave the party if they even try nominating hillary in 08. i say obama in 2k8 !!!!

maybe us blue states should just break away and leave the reds to do as they please

yeah, lets join canadia  :smirk:

People who purely vote their "religion" piss me off too. We have
much bigger problems than if Lance and Julien want to get married.

America's debt problem is a "sign of leadership failure"

We have "reckless fiscal policies"

America has a debt problem and a failure of leadership.

Americans deserve better

Please remove Michigan from the United States of Canada. You aren't ready to occupy my state, we have a lot of guns to back my words up.

....and there's no way we're giving you Hawaii, remember what happened to the last country who tried to steal it.
