Look, I know Bush sucks hardcore and will have free reign to do what he wants for the next four years, but please look it somewhat realistically. We've had worse. Try reading about Woodrow Wilson's presidency, specifically about the Alien and Sedition Act. Yes, Bush is a shitty president, and it will be a long four years, but please shut up with all that "OMFG, it's teh end of teh world, I'm moving to Canada!!!!!1111" bullshit. Life will go on, things will change, and this too shall pass.

Meh, I'd like living on the border of Canada and making regular trips there. Nice place to visit, but I wouldn't want to live there.

I live on the border of Canada and visit it atleast once a month.
Nice people, nice scenery, great vibes from the place everytime I go there. First time I went up there I was disappointed because everyone was rude and shit, but then realized that it was all American and Asian tourists because I was around the casino in Niagara. Everywhere else I go, I love it.

I really didn't want this election to effect me. I really tried not to care.
But I guess the reason I am so pissed right now is not because Bush is back in office, but because so many people voted for him.
This election has forced me to realize how alienated I am from the people around me, and I have been seriously considering moving... maybe not out of the country but definitely out of Dallas...

I'm not moving anywhere jsut becaus esome stupid jackass is the president, this is my home, I have lived here all my life, my firends and familly are here... if he institutes a draft, I might reconsider ... or I might just burn my card and say "fuck you" to the man, I won't fight for your oil. I don't know how serious you guys are, but I'm staying for a while anyway. Even though my country is filled with stupid hicks and Christian extreamists, it's still my home. In four years there will be a new president.

It's not just that Bush won, but that America decided to vote Conservative around the board, even after everything that's happened. It makes me feel very pessimistic about what it takes to make a change. I can't picture how much worse things have to be for the majority of people to want a change. If it was as simple as having to deal with Bush for another 4 years, that would suck, but it's a very sad sign of the mentality of the majority.
-------------------- The very nature of experience is ineffable; it transcends cognitive thought and intellectualized analysis. To be without experience is to be without an emotional knowledge of what the experience translates into. The desire for the understanding of what life is made of is the motivation that drives us all. Without it, in fear of the experiences what life can hold is among the greatest contradictions; to live in fear of death while not being alive.
