fruiting mexicana

finally i got them fruiting...small sclerotia appeared in the casing first then the first flush of shrooms...
it was not a heavy flush like workmans or una`s but at least 20 shrooms in a tray...
i will post pics as soon as the film is developed....havent got a digicam yet

substrate was rye-grasseed, incubated for 4-6 weeks at roomtemp (70?F)....then i crumbled the cakes into trays, let them recover for 48 hours and cased them with a special soil/compost mix (ph around 6.5)... my setup for for the trays is an terrarium with water, waterheater and bubbler....above sit the trays on a second floor....humidity is 90-92%, temperature is around 70-72?F.
i harvested around 30 shrooms (smalls and larger ones)
and 20 sclerotia from peasize to hazelnutsize...

Hi B.I.O>,

well my P. mexicana has been in the terrerarium since May 1st and all I have is a off-white grayish cow-webby spidery mycelium growing. But since yours was four to six weeks I guess I can wait a while longer. Mine to is ryeberry and horse/manure compost from mycotec.

biut no massive growth at all. very slow. maybe have to throw it out.

from casing to appearrance of the first pins something like 2 weeks....before the pins, sclerotia started to form in the casing....pics coming soon
