Is a ghood way to dry, placing a fan on the ground, laying the shrooms on the fan, and having the fan blow on the shrooms, high or low setting if this works? thanks!

A fan would work, as I have used on before and never had any problems. I think using calcium chloride or a a food dehydrator(with heat disabled) would probably be more effective, however.

Check this, this is a small dryer that I made to make them cracker dry, it drys it in 24-48hrs, and can dry a large bit.

They should end up shriveling to 10% of their size.

Hey, kinda of related to this topic... does anyone have an idea how to make them shrivel more? These buggers are taking up way too much space for storage.

Doesn't seem to be any way to alter how much they shrivel. Certain strains will be smaller in the bag then others..the thick stemed ones. Thinner straight stemed tall shrooms tend to be builkier and more of a pain in the ass to deal with transporting.

sam maybe try crushing and capsuling them in dose increments i hear this isnt a bad way to dose and makes things compact and simple

Not unless you push it which is tough to do when you do them quick with a press.
I make capsules with the 00's and they end up .5 grams just about every time..a few .4 and a few .6 but close enough. .5 grams is easier to dose then cramming in .6 anyway. You can get a press to make 50 at a time for 30 bucks..1000 capsules are like 10. Takes about 10 minutes to grind up enough to make 100 capsules and 20 to pack them in with a 50 tamper like I have. So about 30 minutes per 100. Thats good for anything small since thats just about 2 ounces worth. Doesn't work to well for things bigger.
Capsules and powder however are often believed to not be mushrooms, people like to see what they're eating. It generally isn't a problem..I just know that people can bitch about them. Also powder will absorb moisture easier (more surface area) making them "weaker" because it can be tough to tell if powder has absorbs moisture where you can snap a shroom to see and when you weigh it out you got water in your mush. Also plastic bags will absorb moisture. Shrooms should be stored in glass if they're going to be stored for a long time..those large glass jars with the sealed on them are best. I think the acrylic ones with the seals at walmart work as well as glass. Unless you have a truly airtight jar though I wouldnt store the powder. Good to store with some desiccant in the bottom or packets as well. Cool dark place..
