It's Over: BUSH GETS SECOND TERM
    #3312083 - 11/02/04 11:01 PM (19 years, 4 months ago)

It'll be awhile before it's declared, but I think Bush will win Ohio by about 70,000 votes. So there's 266.

Add 3 from Alaska...

And he needs one more. Which he will most likely get from New Mexico or Wisonsin.

So, I think it's done.

Thoughts?

I can't believe so many people actually voted for Bush. Didn't they learn anything in the past 3 years?

Yeah, they learned that Kerry would be worse.

Four more years of the same old shit.

I find it kind of funny that the state that would get hit the hardest by global warming, Florida, voted for Bush. In fact, global warming was a non-issue this election. I wonder why no one even cared about the environment this election?

I have mixed feelings. On the one hand, I'm glad that Kerry's socialist agenda won't see the light of day, but on the other hand, Bush doesn't deserve to be re-elected.

Maybe many people are not so easily swayed by global warming scare tactics.

Proving that Republicans are better at scare tactics when it comes to foreign policy, while Democrats are better at scare tactics when it comes to domestic policy.

I'm amazed at how conservative this country really is. Think its because that once people start to have kids that they become conservative or what?

Well then by your math, he just won.

But by the electoral college's math, he'll have to wait till New Mexico is called.

Kids, mortgage payments, diminished sex drive. These things happen.

269 would spell a tie between the candidates at which point the winner would get decided by the house which is quite republican. So...

America is officially the designated nation state for Right wing religious literalist wackjobs. The American people let the entire world community down. They let the Iraqis down. They let the Afghans down. They let themselves down. Sadly, Americans opted for their own Conservatives to clash with the Conservatives of the East in the sad clashing of cultures we see today that can only be cured with secular leaning. Congratulations America, you've hit a new low.

Of course, this critique is directed at those who voted for Bush in spite of all he has done. For those who voted Democrat - even Nader, Libertarian, Green, etc. - you are a minority voice of reason. You are more intelligent than conservatives. Ignorant people will always outnumber those who think and have not suspended reason like Conservatives and Republicans.

America has failed its own foundation. The American people are slaves of the fear mongering of their Beloved Leader.
