I have probably 50ish small mushrooms growing off 10 PF cakes. there are probably 10-15 large mushrooms. they have been growing for a week now. should i just assume the small ones (prolly about 2-5 inches) are as big as they are going to get?

Has the veil broke on the smaller ones?

Regardless, it may be worthwhile to give them a couple more days to see if they grow anymore. The growth rate is pretty high, so if they don't appear any different within a couple of days, I would say you are safe in your assumption.

I am still a rookie compared to many here though, so take my suggestion with a grain of salt, although I really cannot see how it would hurt to give them a couple more days to be sure.

that was quick mods nice work, that was bothering me just to read.

and RobertP. it depends, if the 10 large mushies are done, then you may find you have to pick the smaller ones when you pick the big ones, just because you will want to dunk and roll after you pick, and to keep contams. to a minimum, and cause it might just rip some of the little ones off when you tear the big ones away. but if you can pick the big ones without messing the little ones up then it's your call, you could leave the little ones for another day to see if they get any bigger. if they don't they probably aren't going to get bigger.
