ewwwwww !!cobweb on a casing !!!!
    #3308092 - 11/02/04 06:56 AM (19 years, 4 months ago)

I made a dozen casings with 4 quarts of rye in each one.
Today, I just removed them from the incubator to place them in the fruiting chamber, and I noticed that 1 of them had a big spot of cobweb growing on it!
Should I destroy the casing? Should I just pull the cobweb from it? Should I quarantine that 1 infected casing and fruit it anyhow??
Thank you for your reply

You should get rid of that cobwebbed casing completely.

Throw it outside if it's still warm at all where you're living. Maybe it will still fruit outside.

Definately get it away from your other casings and re-sterilize everything to prevent it from spreading. Cobweb is shitty.

well .wait before you do that,,cuz if its a lil cobweb your worried about you can mist it with water and peroxide ,.its greenmold that you really, need to chuck away .but if the web is too strong that do it,as it deem so.if you really wanna save it just quaratine with a perlite boxed room..and fan and spray..,""you never know till you try""

When you have a large grow, it aint worth battling it. Just get it out of your house! You've done that..keep tossing all your spents out there..you'll end up with shrooms growing sooner or later.
