Bubble ballots?

I just voted and I have to say that this is the hardest part. Sitting and waiting to see who the country votes for. This is my first actual election, the only other one I have voted in was the primaries. I wasnt old enough before to vote otherwise I would have.
My main question is what do you think of the ballots? Fill in the bubble... do you think this is a better solution to the punch card? My biggest concern are the voters who accidently make a mark outside the bubble... does it count their ballot or just cast it off? I remember scan trons in school and sometimes they made mistakes. Just wondering what you all think.

We used to have literacy laws to make people eligible. They were struck down as discriminatory. Now illiterate people vote in droves. And people wonder why so many ballots are screwed up. If you can't read a ballot you probably shouldn't be voting.

I agree with the literacy thing. I don't feel sorry for people that are just too stupid to follow basic (and I mean basic in it's most simplistic form) instructions. The constitution make gives the people an opportunity to vote, it doesn't assure stupid people a pamphlet on just exactly how.

I agree with you but what I am asking is if the scantron ballots are a better solution to the punch card. Do you think morons are going to have an easier time or not?

morons always find a way to make things harder then things should be so who knows. I can say that atleast we won't have the hanging chads so that's a plus.

When I read the subject line, I instantly thought "Bubble Wrap?!" and was dissapointed. Boo
It would be wicked fun to pop a sheet of bubbles to vote.

I think bubble wrap would be a problem because the voters would want to pop every bubble and Al Gore would be elected.
