Pereskiopsis new growth pictorial!
    #3307118 - 11/01/04 10:09 PM (19 years, 4 months ago)

Whelp I just took a cutting from this plant and the other day some shoots popped up. These shots run from 5 days. The watering is with 20/20/20 diluted 2tsp per 5gal and I water when the soil looks dry. Almost 2x a week. They are under 88w of CF's hung about 6" from them on an 18/6 light cycle. Notice the red natured color to new growth? Has anyone else noticed this in any other cacti?

Prohibition will work great injury to the cause of temperance. It is a species of intemperance within itself, for it goes beyond the bounds of reason in that it attempts to control a man's appetite by legislation, and makes a crime out of things that are not crimes. A Prohibition law strikes a blow at the very principles upon which our government was founded.

many cacti/ succulents respond to high light levels by turning a reddish color and new growth is often like this as well, looks healthy to me.

well it's just another resource for anyone who grows this plant to expect what normal growth looks like.  but this plant is very easy to cultivate and loves to be watered   also it's very fast growing and great for grafts, so what's not to like about it?
