Never, under any circumstances, take a sleeping pill and a laxative on the same night

1. The federal government’s most valuable function is entertainment.

i.e., Same circus, different clowns.

2. Never even remotely suggest to a woman that you think she's pregnant unless you can see an actual baby emerging from her at that moment.

Yep.  Once I went to a gym to work out, being 20 weeks pregnant, and there was a woman there whose stomach looked like mine, and I said, "hey, you're pregnant too!"  She left before the class even started.

5. One factor uniting all human beings, regardless of age, gender, religion, economic status, or ethnic background, is that, deep down inside, we all believe that we are above-average drivers.

Well, I AM an above-average driver.   I can get you there really fast, without getting in an accident, although, on the way, you will think you will be getting in an accident at any moment.

7. There is a very fine line between "hobby" and "mental illness."

Ain't that the truth.

11. If you had to identify, in one word, the reason why the human race has not achieved, and never will achieve, its full potential, that word would be "meetings."

Right!  Whevever I have to attend a meeting, I assume ahead of time that I will be wasting my time, and I bring my laptop with me so I can go online.   It's just a three-ring circus.  Nothing really gets discussed, and nothing really gets resolved.

17. When trouble arises and things look bad, there is always one individual who perceives a solution and is willing to take command. Very often, this individual is crazy.

That would be me!

The day will come when, after harnessing the ether, the winds, the tides, gravitation, we shall harness for God the energies of love. And, on that day, for the second time in the history of the world, man will have discovered fire.  -Teilard
