Two different species
    #330438 - 05/31/01 06:14 AM (22 years, 6 months ago)

I have been using the MMGG to grow two species of mushrooms: Golden teacher, and Tasmanian. I made 20 jars 12 taz, 8 GT. The cakes have colonised and been in my terrariums for 1 and a half weeks now. The GTs are doing well and have started to fruit some are getting quite big. The Tasmanians have failed to do any thing yet.

The some of GT shrooms have white fluff on their dark brown caps. I know that this is some thing to do with humidity but I have read differing things from different places. The MMGG says the humidity is too low, posts on here have said it is to high. Which is it? And is this why the Tasmanians are not doing too much?

The terrariums I am using are versions of the MMGG ?poor mans terrariums? using seed trays with covers. This is my first attempt at growing can you help?

those are two different strains or races (whatever you prefer to call them) of a single species Psilocybe cubensis.
