ok this is the deal i just moved here (to south central oklahoma) from the mississippi gulf coast (lots of great cubies there)but here in oklahoma i have been lookin with no avail ? i live about 30 min across the TX state line and in the list (of in your area) here in the forum these are listed in texas (nothing listed for OK):
Psilocybe cubensis (i have only found on the coast)
Copelandia cyanescens
Gymnopolis spectabilis(found a small patch here)
Gymnopilus luteofolius
i did find a small patch of gyms on a very old poderosa pine in the cattle field behind my house but nothing since. i tried posting pics of local mushies that i found on my excurtions but got alot of people calling me a newbie (if they only knew lol) but i just left it alone. anyway -- the locals around here swear up and down cubies are here and very abundant in my opinion they have no idea what they are talking about ?? if anyone has any idea if any active (besides gym's) exsist here-info would be greatly appericiated pics would be very helpful too
thanks in advance, cap

I remeber about 2 or 3 years ago someone posted pictures of cubensis growing in OK. Seeing as how OK isn't very high above sea level, I wouldn't doubt that they do grow there in the warmer months. I think it could just be near the end of the season in your area.
