How long do shrooms stay good?

Dumb question, I'm getting an ounce of dry shrooms tonight, but I can't trip until next weekend, will the potency still be the same?

They're dry? Just put them in a plastic baggie and keep them anywhere. They should be good for months.

As long as they are bone dry, they should last indefinately stored in a plastic baggy in the freezer.

DO NOT put them in the freezer unless they are bone cracker dry, or else they will freeze and all the goodies will oxidize :frown:

If you find out you got left overs put them in a sealed glass jar and they'll last longer then you could save them.

does it really matter if they are in the freezer? i have some shrooms from about 4 months ago that have been in a bag in my desk droor, will these still be good to trip off of?

If they were properly dried, yes. There is no need to freeze dried mushrooms. Freezing fresh mushrooms is like asking for gooey mushrooms when you thaw them.

There is if you picked 15 - 16 dry ounces of shrooms in one month and you want to ensure that they are good when you get ready for them a year or two down the road. 1 pound is more than 2 years supply for 5 people.
