is grey ok?
    #3302405 - 10/31/04 10:03 PM (12 years, 5 months ago)

i am having some shitty luck with one of my strains, its B+ by the way. so now i am reaching out for a little hope. when the mycelium first starts to form is there any possibilty that it can have a light grey tint to it or should i just give up. and its not my sterile techniques cause my other strain is doing so damn good. but this is the 3rd jar i have lost today from this greyness. if its no hope just let me know and i will throw out my syringe cause his is the 6th jar i have lost this way.

Sometimes it will look grey in the start. Watch it for a few days and see if it fills in white.

It should be OK to keep it in the incubator. make sure you check it daily. If the grey area dosent start to turn white then you should get rid of it.

It looks a bit greyish before the jars fill in, like others said.

Make sure you inspect your jars under white light. You'll be able to differentiate the difference between contam and myc a lot better. If you have a uniform whitish greyish growth after germination, you should be good.
