2 different finds, need ID on both (good pics)
    #3301614 - 10/31/04 06:17 PM (16 years, 3 months ago)

Went hunting in a park in Olympia, WA today! found all kinds of goodies, but only wanted to harvest if I found a decent sized patched. No point identifying mushies when you can't pick enough to dose.

Find number one (possible azurescens?) growing on a mossy log. slight bluish hue can be seen when looking into the bottom of each cap:

And another one, found growing on a stump, slightly slimy/gelatinous in the middle of each cap:

Any suggestions would be welcome.

Check to see if the stems bruise blue.
I cant see any blue in the pics.

A spore print would be helpful, If they dont bruise then assuming the spore print is dark, they key out to Hypholoma (the bottom photos).

I've set up caps from each to make spore prints, I'll keep you posted. Is Hypholoma an active mushroom?

No, but a few are dangerously poisonous.
