flushes are very small
    #329705 - 05/30/01 03:19 PM (16 years, 11 months ago)

Af has a casing that is on it's second flush and a cake that's on it's second flush. the first flushes only yielded about 8g dry together, and all the shrooms were real small. I had a couple nice ones (half dollar sized caps). But my second flush on the casing seems even smaller, I thought it was susposed to be bigger. And I can't seem to get my humid above 85%, (temp is at 75). I fan three times a day, light 12/12. Any advice? the only thing I can think of is my casing wasn't colonized very mush before I put it in the grow chamber. I recased with 1/4 in. of damp verm. Any help would be great. This site rocks.
Peace

Are you using perlite for humidity, and spraying regularly? What strain are they?

how deep was your substrate?

I had a 1/2 in. layer of verm on the bottom and a 1/4 in. layer on top for the first flush. I added a little less than 1/4 in. on top after the first flush. this time though I justed misted the casing and didn't add any more casing. the mycelium growth seems to be good. And shoud I cover up the casings or not during their recooperation period.

Could be your substrate. What did you use?

I've got nicotine stains on my fingers.
I've got a silver spoon on a chain.
I've got a grand piano to prop up my mortal remains

PEACE
