A vision I had of our future president
    #3293475 - 10/29/04 01:22 PM (13 years, 5 months ago)

I had a vision that was pretty intense the night I did Ayahuasca.  While the effects, were minimal, they were still there.  In it I saw John Kerry sitting down in the presidential office, doing presidential work, doing a speech.  He was clearly in an authority position.

Now either:

1.)  I poked through the veil and saw the future

or

2.)  Some hidden part of me secretly wants him to become president.

Time will tell.  I'm a bit disappointed in myself because I don't really like John Kerry at all.  In fact, he sort of scares me.  But whatever.  If John Kerry wins, I'll be happy that my vision was actually true.

If not, then I'll feel like a douche.  Either way, I'm interested to find out.

Well, things are looking up for him lately, so it may very well be #1.

Kerry actually scares me more than Bush does. Bush is evil and a lot of people realize this. Kerry really isn't that much different, but people think that he is, and that is what scares me. Kerry will be able to get away with things that Bush would be heavily criticized for. Kerry is going to escalate the situation in Iraq, and probably start going after Iran or N. Korea. Whatever happens, it's gonna be a rough four years. Just my opinion though.

Does anyone have any sense of what the turnout will be of the youth vote this election?

Normally they are the most apathetic demographic group, but this election is very important, and there has been a determined effort to interest them this time a round.

Talk is that if the youth turn out heavy, that really favors Kerry.

If Bush and his neo-conservative cronies scare you more than Kerry, then you havent read enough on the PNAC and their plans for Empire expansion.

I think Kerry is yet another politician who has made petty political calculations, but he doesnt have the intent to conquer the Middle East and East Asia that the neo-conservatives possess.

I say fire Bush now and during the next four years really help out 3rd parties with funding and organizing (notice I said during - we cant just wait around for the next election to support 3rd parties).

Those aren't really odds that I'd call worthy of nostradomus like prediction...

Our only hope in the short term is gridlock - Kerry in the White House and the Republicans in the Congress (or visa versa). Then neither can do anything. In the long term, the two-party system must fall.

haha, yeah, that's what my husband said when I told him of my vision.

But before this vision I was certain that Bush was going to win.  Now I am not so sure.
