"Top" side of Cake vs Bottom -birthing?

Is this true??-" It is very important that the cake is fruited in the same
orientation (with the same side up) as it had when it was incubating.
If it is turned over during birthing, it will try to fruit from the original "top" side of the
cake, even if this side is now facing down. This is bad, because the mushrooms can?t
grow correctly from the underside of the cake, and you will grow very few mushrooms."
From all the pics I've seen and stuff I've read.. only one guide said this. hmph!
Will be ready for my first birthday soon. Maybe I'll try it both ways and see.

I don't know where you got that from, but it's not true. Well, sorta not true. If you don't let your shrooms get any light while fruiting, then they'll grow up down and every which way. Shrooms are phototrophic organisms, so they use light to tell them which way to grow, as long as the light is not only directed at the bottom, you won't have a problem. (note these shrooms only need a few seconds of light a day, which it will get when humidity is adjusted)
Man, if it weren't for that can we found, life around here would be really pathetic.

I had a few small ones trying to grow on the bottom of the cake.... this sound a little weird lol... but iwas sitting around thinking and just thought... why not block it up on something small......... so i found some real small wood blocks about 3/4 of an inch set the cake down gently, being careful not to smash the 2 little guys on the bottom.... and Voila... little brothers popping out next to the 2 small ones . Hasn`t seemed to hurt the cake at all... Shit... Maybe i should name this a Tek of some kind :o)
Let me take you down .....cuz I`m going to..... strawberry fields.....nothing iz real

Resting on small wood block legs missing any pinheads i should add , not a solid block underneath , that would defeat the entire purpose... by the way the ones on the bottom have turned up and going for it now :o)
