How does this look? Is it doing OK? This is my friends first time, so he doesn't really know what they supposed to look like. There are many others, but this one got a days head start...should this be harvested in a couple of days to make room for the many more, yet smaller pins?

That looks like a nice one to me. Good job (clap clap clap)! Wait until the veil starts to break for harvesting (the veil is that whitish band below the cap), which should be in a few days.
Man, if it weren't for that can we found, life around here would be really pathetic.

Looks great. The fuzzy coat on the cap and brown streak are indicators of humidity being a little high.
