help plz: what are the english name for this mushroom

I have tried to find out what these mushrooms are called in english , here in norway they are known as "sort trompetsopp".


and also if it is possible to cultivate this one?

Think they are called Black Chanterelle or Horn of Plenty.

I think this mushroom is very hard to grow.
you can get sporeprint to this specie at flodida mycology research center if you want to give it a try :smile:

Rather than the "Black Chanterelle" I've heard of it most commonly referred to as the "Blue Chanterelle" and I sell it as being labeled "Blue Chanterelle" at a local market.

Its more of a rarity here in the Pacific Northwest, compared to our many other more abundant wild edibles. Is it a common edible in Norway?

I describe it to my customers as having a morel-like flavor, esp. when sauteed. Any opinions as to the flavor?

Like the morel, yellow and white chanterelles this mushroom grows off the root systems of surrounding trees and depends on a more unstable weather pattern which makes it difficult to cultivate. To this day I havent heard of any organization successfully cultivating these type of mushrooms in a bulk fashion. Recently there has been a few cultivators that have taken a serious step towards cultivating morels, but all techniques are very secretive and I imagine will remain to be for as long as possible.
