Old man eats cyans-not much happens

Ate a couple small caps last night fresh. Caps were about quarter sized or maybe smaller. Havent done this in years.....now perhaps it was because I had recently eaten dinner, drank a half bottle of red wine and was a wee bit tired when I ate em, but there were no noticeable effects an hour after eating em. I've shroomed before so i know what it feels like...this wasnt it. I was asleep a couple hours later. These were caps you good folks helped me identify as Cyans.
I'll give it another try someday soon, maybe eat em on an empty stomach or whatever, but i thought these things were supposed to be STRONG?

Just the caps, or the stems too? How much do you weigh?
The more you weigh, the more you'll need to eat. Plus, if you had a full stomach, you will not feel them the same way.
Personally, Ive had bad trips with wine+shrooms. Thats just me though. I get REALLY bad cramps. (no, im not a girl).
However, some hard alcy-hol and beer with shrooms always gives me a good time. Wine just never sits right in my stomach by itself, so hmmm.

Thats probably just not enough I know if I only ate 2 caps It would probably just give me a light buzz, if that. Try 5 or 6 or 10

No dry weight as I ate em fresh....picked that afternoon. I ate one cap at 8:10, the other at 9:00 after not feelin anything, at ten oclock, just went to bed not feelin much if anything at all....
Im guessing (hoping) that the big meal I ate, the low and intermittently taken dosage and the half bottle of red I had before ingesting was the problem.
Gonna try again saturday or sunday I reckon....I wanted to start slow so as not to get hit too hard. Maybe I'll try some of the dried ones next time and weigh it out first?

2 small-normal sized caps with that much time in between eating them won't do anything to you.
try eating 2-4 entire mushrooms at once next time.

its prolly cause you only ate a couple small caps AND they were fresh. either eat more fresh or eat a little more dry.

OK I guess Im just a big sissy and didnt eat enough. Ding Dangit, I thought y'all said fresh were stronger than dried?
On a side note, someone dug up the patch outside my office. I see why y'all get a little miffed sometimes, there was nothing there to begin with but pins and a few rotting stems, but they tore out ALL the pins AND rotting stems and scattered the myc everywhere. Seems senseless, those little pins can get you off?
Oh well plenty of other patches here, but this one was right outside my window, it was nice to watch its daily progress.
I found a couple near the edge of a chip pile in a discreet place and when I went back a few hours later they were gone. People must be really combing this area (it is a well known spot).

I eat 8 to 10 medium caps for a nice feeling, but i worked my way up, finding my own dosage. depends on how far ya anna go..I like "to the moon, Alice" Although last time I ate 12 fresh, and had to call in sick to work the next morning cause my hands and leggs wouldn't work. HAHAHAHA, if i cant even button my jeans, how am i gonna make 8 hours of busy work? lol, so better to not do to much. (always learning the hard way)

keep in mind: 1 gram of DRY cyans should rock your world. It sounds like you ate way less than 1 dry gram if you just ate 2 fresh quarter sized caps...why not just munch the stems too? peace

Definately up the dose. I hadn't done it for years either and I started out with five medium caps + 1 more about an hour into it. That was ...OK...but nothing like I remember back "in the day." I think I was a little less cautious with my experimentation then though.
Next time I had a few more. Had a nice time.
I find that if I am physically involved, like walking or something outside it's the best for me. Personal preference though I think. It just all seems to mesh right that way for me.
Last time I had a heavy day at work and watched "The Day After Tomorrow" that night on shrooms. Too heavy. Too much emotion for me. Sitting....sitting...sitting is not how I have the greatest trip. Didn't have a BAD trip....just not as FUN as I remembered!
I'd lay off the food and wine and up the dose. Unless you weigh 140 pounds, then I'd got to at least 6 or more to ease into the experience again.
Different revelations at different seasons in our lives...for sure!
But...it is an organic experience...so that's good stuff in my book!

Oh my sister....we have a lot in common!
Spiritedness is good stuff! Sometimes learning the 'hard way' brings you wisdom otherwise not gained.
You are a WONDERFUL spirit!

Fresh i do about 35 grams for a strong trip. Thats probably about 20 or 30 shrooms? Roughly. Best way is to weigh them. I would say if you want a good buzz go for 20 grams(FRESH)and work up from there. That is taking into account you know what they do and are comfortable with it. Beginners i reckon 10-15 grams (FRESH).
Sorry to emphasize the fresh part but don't want a beginner taking 20g's dried!!!
