Cigars again-mistakes bloom

My friend about 5 weeks ago threw some cakes that weren't doing too well into the garden covering them with garden soil. Walking by today, he saw a beautiful clump of short fatties laying on the soil. His wife had seen them and had plucked them out not knowing what she had pluckethed.

Sooo, another cdr show offer to celebrate good fortune and karma. The fourth person to reply will get his or her pick from my list of over 500 shows from various artists. Mostly Blues and Jam stuff. Govt Mule, ABB, WSP, Hot Tuna and many others.

Did you put lots of fresh manure in the garden this year? Did it just fruit from your cake/casing substrate?

Lots of freshly made compost (year old) was used by my friend for gardening early this spring. But, damned if I know the answer, although there was still a kernel of birdseed at the base of the clump in the mycellium. Always good for positive ID ;-]

That's kickass! I crumbled up a cake that wasn't doing well and cased it in sphagnum. It's doing great now!
