casing misting and humidity

OK. AF is going to try casing with 1" of verm on the bottom, then whole/crumbled cakes, then 1/2" verm on top.

1. The verm should be squeezed so no water comes out - is this right?
2. How often should you mist the casing>
3. Another post states that no extra humidity is required as long as the walls of the terrarium have droplets on them. So all you have to do is fan - right?

1) I don`t bother with the bottom layer anymore. Some folks have switched to perlite for the bottom layer.
2) Mist once a day, lightly, like the morning dew. Stop as soon as you see pins.
3) Right, well sort of. A terrarium full of casings creates enough humidity. One lonely one in a big terrarium may need some additional humidification.
