how long abouts on average does it take a six inch deep poo/verm/straw mix to colonize if 1:10 spawn is used?

I use 1:5 ratio takes about a week
at 1:10 might take 2 to 3 times as long
when using straw you really want it fully colonized within two weeks
any uncolonized area will spontainously contam very soon after that

Cardboard will contam. Especially if it's taking more than 2 or 3 weeks to colonize.

If this try fails try using 1:5 or 1:3 ratio of spawn to substrate.

I plan on using 1:2 for the quickest possible colonization, as spawn isn't hard to come by once you've had your first grow.

cardboard is a good source of cellulose but cubensis isnt lignicolous
assuming that that is the specie of spawn

spawning cubensis to 50 percent poo, 35 percent ripped up cardboard, 15 percent verm. there is a lot more spawn than i originally thought. probably around a 1:6 ratio. you really think it will contam silven?
