Hello, While I was looking for my gym patch i found these very interesting shrooms. They have a look that reminds me of cubes. They were found in a compost area. I live in Western,MA even though its been cold, the on and off hot/cold weather has been making shrooms of all kinds pop all over. spore print is brown/possibly black ( very dark spores ) color is a very beautiful pale almost buffed looking cap red- orange fading to pale yellow/white around the edges and stalk [/url][/image] [/url][/image] [/url][/image] [image]http:][image]http://www.shroomery.org/forums/files/04-44/889311166-thumb_Picture_22.jpg][image]http:[/image][/url][/image]

They appear to be Stropharia rugosoannulata, Wine Cap Stropharia. I have read that they are a highly prized choice edible but I have never found them. You lucky dog.
