possible contam

alrigt so.. a very very small portion of my mycelium had a faint greyish/greenish hue to it.. barely noticable.. what do you guys think? thanks much

Green is not good. Might want to have a mod move this to the contam forum. They can better advise you on how to deal with contams. Good luck with your baby.

Is it blue or green? Blue is ok and can look greenish. Green is green and doesn't look bluish. Blue good (well ok), green bad.

Red = Get it the hell away from any other jars/cakes/casings

I like to boil my contam'd cakes and make a mycelium tea.  It generally takes two cakes and a couple cups of water to get a nice effect.

I recently had one that colonized completely except for about 1/4 of a dime size worth where it contammed because of slow colonization at the end, so I cut about an inch of the cake off where the green was (not just a notch, the whole bottom of the cake), and then sliced it into around 1/4"x1/4" squares and boiled it gently in water for 15 minutes and drank it with a pack of hot cocoa mix and had a very mild trip.  Level 1, low level 2.

Consuming contamination is very risky. Byproducts of many molds and bacterium will get you sick or even worse. I'd suggest you stick with healthy mushrooms and mycelium.

im a generaly unhealthy person to begin with... with irregular heart beats.. and weird convulsions from time to time.. but.. i have been waiting to shroom for a good year in a half.. for its nearly impossible to obtain them where i live.. what will i do...
