found mushrooms

i went to texas to find mushrooms, and i found some growing on cactus

any clues?

I thought you found some on cactus?

if in fact you did, it's probably reasonable to conclude that they do, though I don't recall ever hearing of anything like that.

if you want help identifying them, we'll need a description/pics.

yeah
well actually my friend found them in texas, and hes coming over and i gotta check them, cause ive never ehard of them growing on cactus
so who knows, im hoping that they are the good type
maybe you could give me a idea of what they may have been so i can find a pict to compare them to

you would probably have better luck eating the cactus .. if you want to find active mushrooms, you are looking in the wrong place.. educate your self and do some reading,,,.

Only other cacti grow on cactus. Es[pecially the san Pedro and the cereus species are used to graft. you can graft any cacti onto a san pedro and it will live and grow and survive its natural habitat on a cacti, but shrooms do not and never have grown on cacti. There might my some microscopic bacterial fungi on a cacti but not shrooms with a fruiting body.
