hello ya'll. i'm new to the sport so any help u can give me i appreciate. i found this mushroom near an old barn by my house in louisiana. it was whiteish brown when i picked it. the stem bruised almost black, as so did the cap. i know these pics are bad but i dont have a dig camera so i used my scanner. if you need some more info let me know. thanx so much.http://www.shroomery.org/forums/files/04-44/883971460-Tuesday_October_26_2004_3.jpg

I think sport is a good name. An average day of hunting for me usually includes a five to ten mile hike.

I probobly have well over 100 hours out in the field this year on mushroom hunts... Kinda sad but I love it :wink:
