Yah, I think he has some really good ideas, but (correct me if I'm wrong) he also has some really bad grammar.
"Does Matt Cooper support a increasing the minimum wage?"
I know I screw up my grammar and spelling all the time, but if I was making a site to advertise myself as a possible president, I think I'd make more of an effort to check it. Then again, that's just me.

I wouldn't vote for him.  Like most politicians, he seems to think that more government is the answer.  Nothing original about his ideas.  Just the same old washed-up big government answers.

I agree with some of his ideas, but nothing fascinating. I sent him an email:

Hello Mr. Cooper,

Regarding your view on Minimum Wage:

You stated:

"Increasing the minimum wage substantially, to at least $8.50 would dramatically improve the lives of tens of millions of Americans. Furthermore that increase in wages would turn directly into increased spending money to be used by citizens to purchase necessities such as food and household goods as well as items that were previously financially out of reach, such as dish washers, and televisions. The increased demand for these goods will help to grow American businesses which will lead to greater business revenues and increased job growth."

If you increased minimum wage, businesses would have to make up for that by raising selling prices or having less employees doing more work. If they raised prices, this wouldn't help spending it would just create a national inflation. Also, minimum wage is not controlled by the federal government, so I don't see how you could take away the state's rights. If the business had less employees doing more work, this would make it very hard to find a job

On the issue of death penalty:

If you stopped killing the people who deserve death penalty, the prisons would be over crowded. We would have to build many more prisons costing tax payers loads of money. Not only would you have to build the prisons, you would have to hire many employees to maintain the prisons.

If you repeal unjust laws against victimless crimes, then there will be plenty of room in prison for the real criminals.
