ive got some contamination on my 2nd batch of jars but not my 1st batch even though my water content was higher on the 2nd and simmer time was longer on the 2nd also

i was thinking of soaking grain for 13 rinse well then simmer till i notice the grians about to burst then drain really well and let drian and lay out on a towel for about an hour or so and pc. i was wondering if theres anything wrong with PCin 2x. like PC for 1hour then following day pc for another half hour or so...anyone do this with WBS

Yep, over-doing grains in the pc will cause them to burst.. don't want that...

Don't PC your grains twice.

The cat never simmers his grains. Soak them in water for 24 - 36 hours, rinse and drain well, load and PC. This method has proven successful for every grain he's worked with.

Good luck.
