Well I decided to take the plunge, I will give him a slight chance to show off his site---here comes the good part I mailed and ask him to donate some free prints for the auction. Now we'll see if he wants to be part of this community or not

well, he doesn't seam like a dumbass so far... he just needs to post a little more often, heh. If you are giving out free spores thats pretty cool man, you should send a few prints to the fsr... especially strains that aren't at the fsr yet. You might wanna spoof that site up a bit too dude, looks like a virtual sting thing asking for people's home addresses and stuff ; )

If this is for real Its a crazy good deal. If its not then giving out address is a bad idea, why would it be a virtual sting aren't mushroom spores legal? Oh wait I see why now if your ordering them then you know how to grow them, intent to use etc etc.. Blah! It'd be better if you send them to ralph with stamps so he could distribute them or something I dunno, rambling again stopping..

heh, ya... its just that they'd have addresses and who knows... some of these people could be drug dealers that grow there shrooms for profit. Its not likely, but you can't help but be paranoid when it comes to these things. Not that many true mycologists are gonna be ordered spore prints from some home grower to study so it would be a reasonable assumption that the people getting spores from places like that have the intent of growing them themselves. This isn't an assumption about anyone or any site or anything... just one of those "what if" stories you could think about ; ) A good quote that everyone has heard "If it sounds too good to be true, it probably is." Then again, shrooms sound too good to be true and they're right here.

Heh, shrooms do seem to good to be true =) thats why they're illegal.. =P. Does anyone know of a way that I could use a gateway for the mail? So if it was a sting my parents wouldn't be getting a letter asking about my shroom growing =P, but I could still receive a very appetizing free spore print, also one thing that kinda scared me when I thought of it the other day was: what if some maniac wanted to kill a bunch of people. He could send poisonous spores and the growers would die from the mushrooms they grew. (I hope I didn't just give some police any ideas)

hehe, you could probably tell it apart from whatever strain of cubensis its claiming to be... that would just be a waste of time though. You could have the shit delivered to a friend or neighbors house and check the mail before they do, hehe... like have it delivered to some weird ass name. That works fine unless the mailboxes around your house are in locked boxes. I just recently moved and no longer have that problem so I have most stuff delivered to the people who live farther down my private drive and check there mailbox when I go to check mine, hehe. I know thats illegal but so is growing shrooms ; )
