"buddha" has a question about mexican cubensis...
    #3279159 - 10/26/04 01:34 PM (13 years, 3 months ago)

my dog "buddha" would like to know if this  mexican cubensis from Hawks Eye would work well for STRICTLY INVITRO growing? because it obviously sounds like it would grow heartily otherwise...he already knows this.

he has heard good things about the hawks eye. is it still safe to buy spores, what with the guvn'ment cracking down on RCs nowadays? have they done anything to the spore vendors?

many thanks... :mushroom2:

the shroomery vendors are as safe as any site.

as for specific strain requirements, i'm not sure, but i don't see why not. unless you hear otherwise from someone who's invitro'd other strains and this, and this was the only one to fail,  go for it. most cubensis strains handle the same growth parameters with similar results. keep growth parameters optimum  for the best chance of success

good luck

I highly suggest you look for MexicanA "A" Strain at www.sporeworks.com if you wish for a strictly invitro grow. You will need a pressure cooker and some lawn seed.

The spores from the Hawks Eye are cubensis. While you can grow cubensis invitro, results are often disapointing.

MexicanA "A" Strain is meant to be grown invitro.

Look into it.

Try a search, there are several recent posts in this forum as well.

Good luck.
