Is this not a good Idea? Ive got two syringes on the way and Id like to just build one terrarium. I'm going uncased so I don't see how this would be a problem. Any comments, suggestions??

Two species or two strains? Are they both cubensis?

shouldn't be any problem so long as your using cakes. Just don't make one cake with two different strains(sorry to say it, but some people would do that).

Strains I mean. Yes, both cubensis. Ive a thai and a b+ on the way from sporechicks. No, I'm not all THAT clueless as to put two in the same jar ;) . BTW, what would happen in that circumstance? Would each be a contamination of the other??

No, it would just be two different strains fruiting together, but some are more dominate than others so there would be a good chance that only one would fruit. It's like twins fighting for nutrition in the womb...alot of times one is quite larger than the other when they are born.

I haven't done it or seen it, but in my opinion, I think both strains would actually grow. I just think yields would be very low, since both strains are fighting for the same territory. Also if one strain is a much quicker coloniser it may overtake most of the cake before the other has much of a chance to. I just think it would be a waste. But hey, maybe somehow somatagomy(sp?) would take place between the two strains, producing a new hybrid of never-before seen potency. But probably not....

Thanks for the responces guys. Guess I'm gonna built one terrarium. And who knows, I may just sacrifice one of the jars to two strains. If I do I'll let ya know the results. The evolution of this conversation transpired so quickly for a bb. This board's pretty cool thanks again :)
