Hi,
Excited that this forum is up, and reading the enthusiasim by Aliens posts (proxies are always fun) I thought I'd bring up the idea of secure servers.

There's a program that provides secure login connections over unknown or untrusted network, ie the Internet:) Its called F-Secure

http://www.fsecure.com/products/ssh/

I like it becuase you can send and recieve files and visit websites and chat rooms through it. All the info thats tunnelled through it is encrypted (which is nice).

Which reminds me, 3dshroom or Thor, does the Shroomery have a secure certificate? or any kind of https capabilities? Since people need to login to post, maybe they could login into a secure server?

When we set up on the new server we will have SSL capabitlities. I will probably make it where you can surf the site with that also... Going through the encrypted server takes longer for things to load.
