Are psilocybin spores *themselves* bad for your health?

I was told they were, but I think it may be confusion between
the mushroom spores and mold spores.

the reason for not smelling the jars directly is because some contam spores are deadly (anthrax endospores) when you eat a mushroom there is still spores inside of the gills. they dont all fall out. No the spores are not bad for you.

Right. They are deadly because some might find your lungs and the whole respiratory system, a good place to live, reproduce and attack you. Sometimes they can kill you.
Mushroom spores do not grow in your respiratory system, so they do not present this risk. The only one - and this is a general risk among all spores - is the risk of allergy.
Anyway, i don't know anybody allergic to PC spores. There might be exceptions but i believe they are very rare but i don't think they could be deadly.

You can make anthrax colony easy for under $100 if you felt like it.

Your usual contams floating around will not produce anthrax spores.  Remember... you have to have the spores around first for them to reproduce all over your jars/casings.

I'm not sure about how bad they are for your health. But like a few other users said you should prob not inhail them directly to check for contamination. Again like lonestar said use the wavy hand thing to check instead of directly inhailing them.
